Warehouse AMRs, quadrupeds and service robots have different motion, mass and docking constraints. Battery concepts must fit the platform’s electrical and communication architecture, not just its enclosure.
Who this guide is for
Robot OEMs, AMR integrators, automation developers and warehouse deployment teams.
Define the platform envelope
Provide the robot’s available battery space, mass budget, mounting points and access route for servicing. State whether the pack is fixed, manually replaceable or dock-charged. An attractive pack rendering does not establish that a robot can retain it safely during movement.
Describe motion and charging together
Supply the intended operating sequence and measured load information when available. Separate idle operation, travel and demanding actuator events. Describe the charging dock, available charging window and interruptions. Ask the integration team to evaluate usable energy and peak demand as different requirements.
Specify the interface before ordering
List the data the controller needs from the battery and identify who owns protocol integration. Include charging permission, fault reporting and maintenance needs in the review. Agree a prototype evaluation plan before describing a concept as compatible with a particular AMR, quadruped or service robot.
Prepare your technical enquiry
- Robot mass budget, battery envelope and center-of-gravity limits
- Measured idle, movement and peak actuator load profiles
- BMS protocol, charging dock interface and planned service procedure
Before comparing quotations
Ask each supplier to identify the exact proposed configuration, the evidence supporting its stated specifications, exclusions, and the information still needed from you. Keep reference photographs separate from approved product drawings. Agree how a sample will be evaluated before a production order.
Does this guide confirm product compatibility?
No. It describes information needed for a fit review, not approval of a specific battery or installation.
Can a reference image establish specifications?
No. Request the offered model’s controlled drawing and specification sheet. Concept artwork and third-party reference material are not verified GOTION JTM product data.
What should I send first?
Send your equipment model, available space and operating requirements. Avoid sending personal or confidential information that is not needed for the initial discussion.
